Both original Dynamixel xl430’s burned out for joints 4 and 5, and I installed new ones. When I plugged in the new ones, both of them gave a little red flash on their status lights. Upon starting up the robot inside Niryo One Studio, I get the message:
Missing Dynamixel motor(s) on the robot: Servo Axis 4, Servo Axis 5

What could be the issue here? I know that I’m supposed to somehow change the default ids of these new Dynamixels (from 1 to something else?). I tried going in with ssh and doing dxl_debug_tools –scan (after sudo systemctl stop niryo_one_ros.service) and that gave me

The problem was I wasn’t using the -b argument for baudrate for dxl_debug_tools when doing the scan. Only plugging in one of the new motors in at a time, with baud rate 57600, the motor showed up. Then I was able to execute all the other commands to change the ids as appropriate.
