I´ve mistakenly connected the Dynamixel XL-320 (Blue Servo) with the Dynamixel XL-430 (Joint 5), because we were missing a cable on our Niryo One, after fixing that issue we couldn´t get the Niryo running again. So we connected the Dynamixel XL-320 in series with the XL-430 12V instead of 7 V. The error is: Missing Motor Connection. The Dynamixel XL-320 starts to get hot in idle use and after a while it starts flashing the red error LED. We assume it is now broken, is there a way to identify the issue further or do we need a new one?Edouard RenardKeymasterNovember 22, 2018 at 6:02 pmPost count: 239
It seems that the Dynamixel XL-320 is burnt. As you said you applied 12V instead of the recommended ~7.4V.
Could you describe how you were able to connect an XL-320 with an XL-430 ? The connector are not the same and it’s not possible (unless you create your own connectors) to connect the 2 motors together.
Also, please issue a “Technical Support” ticket here, explaining what parts were missing and what is broken, so we can get back to you quickly with a solution. Thanks!KGT_NuP1ParticipantNovember 23, 2018 at 7:33 amPost count: 2
First of all thank you for your quick response.
You are right we had to create our own connector. A Dynamixel XL-320 connector was missing in our kit
so we made our own universal connector but mistakenly connected the XL-320 with the XL-430 system.
We already contacted the technical support and a new servo will be send to us.
Thank you and best regards
