As you might have seen it, if you regularly follow our news, the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 have been pretty eventful and emotional!
Even though 2020 has been a surprising year (in particular concerning health), we had the chance to celebrate in December, besides the holiday season, Niryo’s first fundraising!
For many years now, Niryo has experienced 100% growth and has always been self-sufficient. Nevertheless, besides excellent results, to boost our development further and be able to propose to you exciting new projects as soon as possible, Loire Valley Invest (Go Capital), Nord Création, Nord France Amorçage, Finorpa and BPI France believed on us and accepted to support us up to 3 million euros! This fundraising will help us to develop Niryo’s industrial solution we’ve been working on for years.
After this joyful news and the holidays, 2021 kicked into gear with, during January, Ned’s launch, our new six axis collaborative robot designed for Education and Research! This robot, more robust and precise thanks to its aluminum structure, will allow you to implement industry 4.0 oriented processes.
Since last September, Niryo’s team has grown in an exponential way! More than 15 people joined the team. As they are the heart of Niryo, you can find them on our “About us” page. You can also find Niryo’s story, from its start, at the Lille ISEN buildings, to Ned, our brand new robot.
If you are curious and read our last blog article, you also have discovered our new documentation, now available online, on docs.niryo.com. You can find our robots and add-ons documentation, as well as ROS, Modbus and PyNiryo’s documentation. PyNiryo is our new Python package that we have introduced at the beginning of the year. It offers a greater and more intuitive installation and added functionalities you can discover on docs.niryo.com.
Finally, if you follow us, you might have observed our increasing presence on the media, in particular at the television. Marc-Henri Frouin, Niryo’s founder, has had the opportunity to attend BFM Business, for 01 Business and Good Morning Business programs, and B Smart television sets. He talked about Ned, Niryo and its evolution, industry 4.0, cobots and many other subjects.

To conclude the beginning of 2021, we would like to thank you for your support, the multiple robotics projects you shared with us, and the warm welcome accorded to Ned. Thank you for your presence and we won’t miss to come back to you to let you know about our new projects !
See you soon,
Niryo’s team
