Niryo acquires BizLink Group’s Healthcare Robotics Business to accelerate its European ambitions

Niryo announces the acquisition of the healthcare robotics business of Taiwanese multinational BizLink.

Completed over the summer, the transaction marks a new milestone in Niryo’s development and accelerates the company’s expansion into the global medical robotics market.

Through this acquisition, Niryo gains an established medical robotics business, dedicated technologies and intellectual property, as well as teams with recognized expertise in developing robotic systems for highly regulated healthcare environments.

The transaction also ensures continuity of production in France and ongoing support for existing customers.

The acquisition expands Niryo’s portfolio with Orion System, a robotic patient positioning system already deployed internationally, and Pulsar, a modular robotics platform for developing custom medical robots.

Medical robotics: a strategic growth driver for Niryo

Having built its business in education and recently strengthened its industrial offering with the launch of Nate (Niryo to Automate), a new range of industrial robots, Niryo is now entering a new phase by making medical robotics a strategic pillar of its growth.

This momentum reflects the increasing adoption of robotics across healthcare and growing demand for solutions that combine precision, safety and reliability in highly regulated environments.

Orion System and Pulsar: two medical robotics solutions

The acquisition enables Niryo to accelerate its growth in this market, building on proven technologies and established clinical experience.

Orion System, designed for robotic patient positioning in radiation therapy and medical imaging, has more than 160 systems deployed worldwide, including in France, the United States, China and India. Depending on the application, a single system can support the treatment of up to 50 patients per day.

Alongside Orion System, Pulsar expands Niryo’s offering with a modular robotics platform designed to meet the requirements of medical applications and accelerate the development of custom robots for medical device manufacturers, system integrators and MedTech companies.

The platform can address a wide range of applications, including teleoperated ultrasound and minimally invasive surgery.

Complementary expertise to address new markets

Beyond providing direct access to the medical robotics market, the acquisition strengthens Niryo’s technology base and expertise in key areas of robotics, including precision, safety, robotics software development and operating in highly regulated environments.

This expertise will also support Niryo’s continued development in markets it had already begun to address, including laboratories and the pharmaceutical sector, where reliability, traceability and risk management requirements are particularly stringent.

These capabilities are highly complementary to Niryo’s existing activities and will support the continued development of its product ranges by bringing together a broader set of robotics expertise.

Strengthening France’s Advanced Robotics Ecosystem

The acquisition enables Niryo to strengthen and further develop advanced medical robotics expertise in France.

As part of the transaction, 35 employees are joining Niryo, bringing specialized expertise in medical robotics and highly regulated healthcare environments.

The business currently draws on certified medical device manufacturing capabilities in Chartres (France) and R&D expertise in Guyancourt (France). 

By also acquiring the intellectual property associated with the technologies, as well as the maintenance and support activities, Niryo ensures continuity for existing customers and partners while strengthening its control across the robotics value chain, from engineering and software development to industrialization and production.

Against a backdrop of intensifying global competition in robotics technologies, the transaction also reflects a broader industrial ambition: to build, from France, a company capable of developing advanced robotics technologies and deploying them internationally, while contributing to greater French and European technological sovereignty.
